Jewellery
The jewellery pieces I make are made in both 925 Silver and 14K or 18K solid gold. Each precious metal ages differently.
While gold will only need a light polish at long intervals, silver is more sensitive and oxidises with time and wear. This natural patina develops from exposure to air and moisture, and can easily be removed with the soft cloth included in your order. To remove any possible grease or more prominent dirt, I recommend using a mild dish soap diluted into warm water and an extra soft toothbrush. Gently scrub your piece of jewellery and rinse with fresh water. Pat dry to avoid oxidation.
Please note that both gold and silver are soft metals, meaning that they will lightly scratch over time with wear. Any local jeweller can remove these scratches from your jewellery with a professional polish, for a small fee.
It is advised not to use beauty products such as perfume and lotions near the jewellery, and to avoid exposing your jewellery to household chemicals and cleaning products, which may damage the stones and precious metals.
To maintain the original finish, keep your jewellery stored clean and dry. The box that comes with your order is a good storage place against tarnish.
Ceramics
All my ceramics are made of stoneware or porcelain, both very strong and durable materials perfect for dinnerware. The glazes used on all dinnerware are food-safe, but decorative pieces may occasionally have non food-safe glazes. In this case, it will be appropriately included in the product description. Although stoneware and porcelain are microwave and dishwasher safe, I recommend handwashing with care to avoid chipping or cracking and extend their lifetime.
